40 Year Logo New College Anniversary  Now Is The Time theme 2017 New College Berkeley Gala

For the past 40 years New College Berkeley has helped people walk in newness of life while following Jesus. We will celebrate! We’re delighted that long-time NCB faculty member and friend Mark Labberton—president of Fuller Theological seminary—will speak at our gala celebration and fundraising dinner on Saturday evening, September 30th. Please join us and bring your friends! Table sponsors are invited to a private hour of conversation (at 5:30) with Mark and the NCB Trustees prior to the dinner.

One of the oldest Christian Study Centers next to a major American university, and one of the oldest Centers of Distinction at the GTU, New College has always been a ministry centered on Jesus Christ’s relevance for and presence in our daily lives. The ministry offers programs that deepen people’s knowledge about and acquaintance with Him, through study, spiritual disciplines, and also through fellowship.

A person who has been an active Christian for more than 50 years was part of a weekly, year-long New College Berkeley course and wrote, “Through this experience I feel I have finally developed a more personal relationship with Jesus, grounding my spiritual ideas in the realities of his life.” A Cal student wrote about the spiritual direction group he’s in that participating in the group has enabled him to “see Jesus in his life each day.”

Our 40th anniversary celebration theme is “Now is the time—for faith, wisdom, and impact.” More than ever before, it is time for this “new college” for advanced Christian studies! Increasingly our faith is countercultural. How will we navigate the political, cultural, technological, and interpersonal challenges of our time if we are not fiercely committed to knowing God and following Christ?

Our banquet will be held at Scott’s Seafood Pavilion in Jack London Square on Saturday, September 30th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. We are inviting you to support this event by becoming a sponsor, and all you need to do is complete the Sponsorship Registration Form.

While you are not obligated to attend the banquet when you sponsor a table, we would be honored to have you attend. If you are not able to attend, your guests will be welcomed warmly and, if there is open space at your table, those places will be used to host our staff, faculty, and evening speakers. Your table sponsorship and all additional gifts to New College Berkeley are tax deductible.

We look forward to receiving your completed sponsorship form. Thank you for your partnership with New College Berkeley!
