Dear Friends,

New College Berkeley turns 35 this spring! Amazing grace. The traditional gift for a 35th anniversary is coral. That evokes some musings: Coral is lovely, alive, colorful. By God’s grace New College Berkeley is all these things in many ways.Coral is a fundamentally communal species. It cooperates with and provides shelter for other forms of life. Likewise, NCB participates in the larger Christian community, partnering with faculty, churches, seminaries, and others. Our experience is communal. We have always been a ministry formed by interlocking communities of faculty, staff, students, and supporters.

We hope you’ll check out the rich and nourishing offerings of our 2012 spring program. We hope, too, that you’ll celebrate with us the 35th anniversary of this precious ministry which at times seems endangered—but at all times is blessed.
